Today my old cat, Trina, finally passed away. She was 19 and had an excellent life. I already miss you. Trina was one of the most gentle, friendly, and calm cats out of the many I’ve had. RIP.

As a fun side project, I made my first (intentionally abstracted) wargaming tool. The goal is to see the culmination point of an offensive.
Assumptions: The attacker is consistently advancing, however, the defender is fighting back hard throughout. The units of the attacker participating in the campaign are not going to be rotated out, hence they will only receive small and piecemeal reinforcements/replacements throughout.
This simple tool works as follows:
Example:
Etc….
Figures of course can be changed depending on context.
Welp, it’s finally happened. I’ve gotten a hex board.

Game board+ some cheap model spaceships as placeholders if nothing else + stands if I do get miniatures + time and effort = Physical games that I fully intend to show and share on Fuldapocalypse when played. Starting with Starmada.
The ebook version of the second All Union book, A Period of Cheating, is now out!
The paperback will be up soon.

Actor Louis Gossett Jr has passed away. I knew him best as Chappy in Iron Eagle. RIP.
You might have notice me slowing down. This is because I’m in the final stretch of A Period of Cheating and want to devote more writing energy to working on that. So March may be sparse in terms of content.
Delighted to say that A Period of Cheating, the next book in the All Union series, is now available for pre-order. Its projected release date is April 12.
The ebook can be preordered here.
So World War III 1987 has responded to my response to the “Squishy Problem”.
