My newest book, Viola Air, is now out.
I’m excited, writing it was the smoothest experience I’ve had in a long time. 2025 actually saw me able to write and complete two full-length books in one year, something I hadn’t managed before. So enjoy this pop epic of a plane factory in Ohio!

The Fuldapocalypse World War III Book is Out!
A collection of essays by me that might have been inspired by blog posts I wanted to elaborate on, inspired by posts I never wrote, and just random inspirations, is now out in ebook and soon in paperback form.
It’s short and is kind of an unconventional stream of conciousness writing exercise, fair warning. But it does explain (partially) why I had fewer blog posts lately. Anyway, it was fun to write and I hope it’s fun to read.
ATP 7-100.1 Russian Tactics is Out
ATP 7-100.1, Russian Tactics, the newest OPFOR document, is now out.
Yes, it is of the nation that already had the most analysis and published doctrine there. Yes, the document includes a disclaimer that basically goes “we know you’re asking this question”:
This ATP is not meant to represent how the Russians are currently fighting in Ukraine. Many insights and observations can be collected daily to either affirm or refute Russian doctrinal strategies and tactics, but it’s far too early to acknowledge any definitive changes in doctrine. The Military District and unit diagrams in this ATP may be affected based on early observations of the conflict in Ukraine. With so many Russian units now in Ukraine, it will take some time to determine a new laydown of forces if that becomes necessary. Furthermore, with the losses Russia has suffered, it is too early to assess the structure and equipping of any Russian unit for the next 5 to 10 years. We are still studying the conflict in Ukraine and continuing to revise our assessments. Therefore, the ATP is not the correct medium for publication of our initial observations nor potential future changes for the Russian Army. Instead, this type of information will be available at https://oe.tradoc.army.mil/how-russia-fights
Still a great and highly anticipated (by me at least) resource.
All Union is now out
After months of work and preparation, I’m delighted to say that All Union is now out in both electronic and paperback versions. It’s an alternate history novel about a world where the Soviet-ahem, Sovereign (totally not Communist or anti-Western, we swear!) Union remains a superpower and the dawn of high-tech war was in Romania and not Kuwait. It’s, as the subtitle says, a novel of love (seriously and unironically), war, and mystery, as everyone from a “Generallismus” to a New Jersey clerk to a Kyrgyz nurse makes their way through this different but similar world.
It and particularly the style in the second half is the kind of book I’ve wanted to write ever since I’ve started Fuldapocalypse. And now I’ve done it. Writing this was incredibly joyful and satisfying, and I hope reading it is as well.
The Lair of Filth Is Out
I’m delighted to announce that The Lair of Filth, the sequel to The Sure Bet King and my second full-length novel (and first full-length action thriller), is now out. Enjoy.

New Story in an SLP Anthology
Sea Lion Press just released the Alternate Australias anthology of short stories. I’m a contributor to that, despite not really having any personal ties to that country. Oh well. My entry was a short story entitled “The Savannah War Dispute”, dealing with an alternate war in East Africa that Australia intervened in.
Box Press released
Box Press, my second Smithtown Unit ebook, has been released by Sea Lion Press. While the first installment aimed to pay homage to the “men’s adventure” genre in all its forms, this one has a narrower and more obscure foundation. That would be the weirder books in the 1970s that tried to move beyond just shooting mobsters and brought in stranger antagonists as a result.
Enjoy the next adventure of Bill Morgan.
